Horizontal Directional Drilling

Using our advanced, specially developed HDD drilling rigs, we create long underground tunnels in which we subsequently install HDPE or steel casing pipes. Water or gas flows through these casing pipes, or electrical cables are pulled through them.

We drill entirely underground, making open-cut excavation unnecessary and leaving both above-ground and underground infrastructure unaffected. We effortlessly bypass obstacles such as roads, waterways, foundations, and existing cables and pipelines. We provide drilling with diameters ranging from 30 to 1000 mm, suitable for applications such as fiber optics, electricity, gas, and water.

Fase 1: Pilot boring

We starten met een pilotboring: de boorkop gaat de grond in en creëert een tunnel. Tegelijkertijd pompen we
bentoniet door de boorstangen om het boorgat stabiel te houden en grond af te voeren. Met het geavanceerde walk-over systeem wordt, aan de hand van een sonde in de boorkop, de diepte van de boring gemeten. Op plekken waar dit niet mogelijk is, maken we gebruik van een speciaal gyroscopisch meetsysteem.

Fase 2: Ruimen

Zodra de boorkop de volledige afstand heeft afgelegd, vervangen we deze door een ruimer die tijdens het terughalen van de boorstangen de

boortunnel vergroot. Dit proces herhaalt zich totdat we de gewenste diameter van de boortunnel bereiken.

Fase 3: Intrekken

Vervolgens koppelen we de
mantelbuis of buizen aan de ruimer en trekken we deze door het boorgat, waardoor de leiding wordt

geïnstalleerd of het medium kan stromen. Tot slot meten we het volledige traject nauwkeurig in met een GPS-systeem.
